Summer Adventure Schedule!


Saturday, June 16th - Claire’s Polo Tournament

RSVP BY JUNE 14

Location: Poway

Time: TBA

We will be heading out to Claire’s polo tournament to cheer her on. Carpool available from the barn after Saturday lesson.

Wednesday, June 20th - Escape Room: High School Detention, ages 12+

RSVP AND PAYMENT DUE BY JUNE 5

Time: 4:30pm-8pm

We will be leaving from Showpark and heading to the escape room. THIS IS LIMITED TO 10 PEOPLE SO BE SURE TO RSVP EARLY. The group will be split up into teams of 5 and will race in separate rooms to try and solve the case the fastest. All the girls have been very excited about this!

Saturday, June 23rd- Game Night, all ages

RSVP BY JUNE 14

Time: 6pm-9pm

Fun night at the barn for all the kids. We have pizza for dinner. Snacks and drinks will also be provided. We play games such as: 3-legged race, musical chairs, high jump, limbo, scavenger hunt around showpark, sardines. The winners will get to pick out horse related prizes. There will be several adults there to chaperone the kids. Kids are welcome to bring a friend.

Sunday, July 15th - Magic Mountain, 14 and older

RSVP BY JULY 1

Time: 8:30am-11pm

We will meet at Showpark at 8:00am. Park opens at 10:30 and closes at 10:00. Its about a 2.5hr drive each way. Will be hot (usually 90+) so dress accordingly.

Sunday, July 22nd - Lydia Hiby Animal Communicator, all ages

Sign ups at barn now. Spaces limited.

Location: Bravado Farms

Lydia Hiby is a well known animal communicator that has been featured in wide variety of national publications and also on many tv shows/news programs. She will be doing 15 minute readings on our pets - horses, dogs, cats, rabbits…whatever you want to bring to the barn. A fun and informative experience!

Tuesday - Thursday, July 24-26 - Advanced Horsemanship Clinic, Ages 10+

RSVP BY JULY 10

Location: Bravado Farms

Time: 2-5pm

This clinic will cover the more advanced aspects of horse care that we do not get to go over during lessons. Students will learn:

~ types of tack and when/how to use

~ basic vet care including noticing signs of illness and injury, treating wounds, giving injections

~ how to apply wraps and bandages and what types of dressings to use

~ how to hook up and load horses in trailer

~ how to give baths

~ how to properly lunge/turn out horses

~ how to pull manes and clip

~ how to prepare a horse for showing

~ how to pack a tack trunk for away horse show

~ different types of feed and medications

~ how to prepare entries for horse shows and what to do in show office

~ how to properly clean tack

Drinks will be provided. There will be daily handouts given that will include all the information which was covered on that day. Friends with horse knowledge are welcome to attend.

Monday, July 30th - Raging Waters, ages 8+

RSVP BY JULY 16

Time: 8am-8pm

Girls will meet at Showpark at 8am to leave. 2hr drive each way. Please bring backpack/bag with dry clothes, towel and sunscreen. Wear a bathing suit that won’t fall off on the rides.

Monday, August 6-10th - Beginner Horse Camp, ages 5-10 yrs

RSVP BY JULY 15 - SPACES LIMITED

Location: Bravado Farms

Time: 9am-2pm (care for additional hours before or after the camp can be arranged for an additional fee)

This will be a horse camp geared towards the little ones. There will be daily activities with the horses, games, crafts and nature walks. Please send with a packed lunch, water bottle, hat and long pants/closed toe shoes. Additional information to be sent in separate email. Camp will be run by Amelia Faircloth.

Tuesday, August 13th - Disneyland, 9 and up

RSVP BY AUGUST 1

Time: 7am-10pm

We will meet at Showpark at 7am to leave and should arrive back around 11pm. No parents :)

Please contact Tara if you have questions and for pricing..Sign ups will be on the board at the barn as each date approaches. No need to prepay anything unless specifically stated for that activity; money can be sent with kids the day of the activity. Parents are more than welcome to drop kids off for the day for any of the activities. These were all trips that the girls talked about and decided on as a group!
