Tara Bemoll began riding in Southern California as a six year old and by the time she was 12 she started riding with hunter/jumper trainer Shayne Berridge-Wireman in North San Diego County with whom she trained until 2010. Selling horses has been Tara Bemoll’s key to success from her early riding years. Her parents had working class jobs and the budget for her horse passion was limited. She discovered that she had a talent and love for marketing sale and lease horses and was able to fund her riding and showing by doing so. At the age of 14, she set a goal for herself to eventually open her own training and sales barn.
Tara was a working student throughout her junior years for Sandi Nisson, Kelly James, Liz Hutchison, Doug Snell, and Allen Clarke for whom she rode and sold horses. When she decided it was time to go pro in 2010, Tara was hired to join Mickey Hayden’s team in Laguna Hills. Mickey knew of Tara’s excellent work ethic, entrepreneurism and determination and was happy to have her on his team. But after a year of working in Orange County, Tara wanted to be back in San Diego. She landed a spot working with Alicia Saxton at Oceancrest Farms where she rode horses, went to the shows, did sales, and took care of the barn at home for three years. She was happy to work at Oceancrest Farms, but as her skills as a professional grew, she was encouraged to go out on her own. In 2013 she started Bravado Farms in North San Diego County and in 2014 moved to Del Mar Horsepark where her business continued to grow. Upon the closing of the Horsepark in 2021, Bravado Farms made the move to a private facility in the beautiful 4S Ranch area of San Diego.
Selling horses is Tara’s passion but she is also very dedicated to her students. Tara makes sure to help all her students and especially those that may not come with big riding budgets. Tara says, “I am always willing to work with the kids that have drive and aren’t afraid to put in the hard work and I find ways to help them achieve their goals.”
Horsemanship is a key component to Tara’s program. All the students learn how to tack up their horses, clean tack, pull manes, clip the horses, prepare for the show ring, and care for injured or rehabilitating horses. Whether knowing about the supplements, types of shoes, veterinary care, types of bits and more, it isn’t just about riding.

With a diverse background in the equine world, Georgia brings a supportive, rounded approach to her role as an assistant trainer. Raised in San Diego County, she built a broad foundation through gymkhana, endurance, and cross-country before discovering her true passion in the jumper ring. As a teenager, she worked with a variety of horses, reinforcing confidence and versatility in her equine projects through patience and consistency. Early on, she found a knack for teaching, drawing from her own challenges in the saddle in order to support and motivate developing riders. Her leadership journey emerged through her active roles in lesson programs, horse summer camps, and Equine Assisted Learning clinics.
In early adulthood, Georgia trained under a hunter-jumper professional, gaining hands-on experience in horse care, nutrition, and program management. She briefly rode for the UCSD Equestrian Team before transitioning to Thoroughbred racing, where she spent three years as an exercise rider, helping young racehorses develop the focus, strength, and mindset needed to make it into the winners circle. This time at the track deepened her understanding of the equine mind, gaining a deep respect for their sensitivity and spirit. She learned that the best riders aren’t the ones who control the horse, but the ones who listen and respond with presence and grace.
Returning to teaching, Georgia combines her experience from different spheres of the equestrian world to help riders build strong foundations-both in the saddle and on the ground. She believes in teaching from the ground up: that confidence grows from understanding the horse, and great riding is cultivated in clear communication, curiosity, and consistency. Her approach encourages riders to stay compassionate and present with their equine counterparts as they take hold of the reins and transform into their most capable selves. Georgia’s mission is to empower her students to ride assertively and think critically, confidently getting their inner star riders on track toward their goals!
